This morning Oliver had another X-ray and there were no signs of NEC, so they've decided to leave him alone for now. He is still not allowed to eat and on antibiotics (so IV stays). That will go on at least until we get the lab results tomorrow, but I do not think we need any more X-rays. We still do not know what caused the blood in the stool so I am not sure what else they might need to do.
He has been quite fussy, mostly because he is hungry. Pacifier calms him down for a while, but pretty soon he figures out that no milk is coming out of it and he starts to cry. After crying for some time, he gets tired falls asleep. Last few days have been very hard.
