Finally, finally, Oliver is breathing on his own! Going strong for the full 4 hours now. He only has gastric line left now (not counting ECG, breathing monitor and oximeter probes). This is a huge step forward. Skin on his face is very red, almost burned, from all the things that were taped there until this morning. It will take a while for that to get back to normal.
