Oliver is doing better now that he is on the respirator again, but the intubation was very difficult and it was incredibly hard to watch it. He has significant swelling in his airways which could be the reason for his poor CO2 clearance. This swelling also made it almost impossible to intubate him. He will be on the respirator for several days at least, while they figure out what is going on.
