About ChordPro tool

The ChordPro tool, is my attempt to write a program which decodes and nicely formats the ChordPro files. It is not perfect, but it works. ChordPro format is not as popular as it used to be, but I still find it useful. Once you have a ChordPro file, simply paste it in the form and enjoy.

Known issues:

  • Not all codes are supported yet (unsupported codes are just ignored)
  • My chord database is not complete
  • When printing, the tabs can be broken over two pages
  • It is ugly

If any of these issues bother you, you have three options:

  1. Get all upset over it, have your blood pressure go up and your head explode
  2. Send me an e-mail with the comment/advice/request/suggestion and I will try to modify the ChordPro program so that it does what ever it was that got you all worked up by not being there.
  3. Send me the code that I can plug in (Perl please) and I will gladly include it in my program with all the credits to you.

I do have the code in place to (supposedly) not allow tab breakage, but for the reason known only to the little green man of Mars, it does not work. It is one of those ugly css "Internet explorer only" codes, but it does not seem to work in the IE (I myself use Mozilla and so should you). I will keep searching for the way to fix that, and if you, the reader, have any ideas, please do share.

I guess that is more less all. Now go back and play guitar enough surfing allready.
