Around the world in Cessna 182

June 26, 2004
Magadan, Russia (UHMM) to Anadyr, Russia (UHMA)

Well, here it is, the part of the trip I was dreading. When I was trying to decide if I can do this whole ATW thing in Cessna 182, I flew from Magadan to Anadyr several times to make sure I will be able to make it. At that time this was the longest leg I had planned, but later, as I was getting more and more confident, I have added few other ones that are as long as this. Still, it was challenging, as The God of The Winds was not on my side today. Once again, I was able to make low fuel warning lamp light up. What a talent I am.

Even though I was a bit low on fuel, I did do a proper approach, announced myself, went around the airport, and landed on runway 19. After a brief taxing, I left the plane parked at the gate, and called it a day. Tomorrow will be very exciting, I am going home...
