Around the world in Cessna 182

November 27, 2003
Buenos Aires, Argentina (SAEZ) to Montevideo, Uruguay (SUMU)

Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, is located at 34 00 S, 64 00 W. At this time of the year, it is nice and warm there (for those of you who like that kind of weather). Me, I prefer snow, despite all the shoveling I had to do lately.

This flight was very short about 130 miles, and it took me directly to the capital of Uruguay, Montevideo. Direct route from Buenos Aires to Montevideo was following the heading of 094. Since the flight was short, I did not climb too high (5,500 ft.). Despite some cloud cover and ground haze/fog I was able to take few nice shots along the way, plus the weather cleared up over the Rio de la Plata which also helped.

I had to do another crosswind landing, but this time it was perfect. I really am getting better at that.
